This program supports current and aspiring middle leaders to build their leadership capacity by engaging them in reflection on their leadership practices and the impact their leadership has on staff and students. Participants will develop their capacity through the guided completion of a project or activity aligned to their current priorities.
Middle Leadership Development consists of a face-to-face full-day workshop and six monthly learning pod sessions to continue the journey of leadership skill development.
Learning pod meetings will provide opportunities for participants, in a small group setting, to network with other leaders, consolidate relevant leadership skills, and conduct an inquiry with a team to practice leadership skills within an instructional leadership framework.
After the program, participants will have the skills and knowledge to:
- Identify key leadership behaviours.
- Examine the impact that these behaviours have on team performance and student outcomes.
- Consider how the adoption of these behaviours could enhance their leadership practice.
