We're a member led not-for-profit dedicated to improving educational outcomes for state school students in Queensland. Our members serve in 745 locations, from remote islands in the Torres Strait and one-teacher schools in the rural west to our state's regional centres and largest urban state colleges. Our work impacts over 325,000 primary school students, their families and communities.

In 1966 a group of head teachers formed an Association dedicated to improve conditions for the students and teachers of Queensland's state primary schools. When we created a logo in 1991, it was with a nod to the classrooms of three decades earlier.
